How long is the voucher valid?
Twelve months from the day it's issued. The date is printed on the card, and we'll remind the family before it lapses.
What if the child doesn't take to chess?
The free trial lesson comes first and doesn't touch the voucher. If they don't want to carry on after it, tell us and we'll refund the voucher in full.
Can several of us chip in together?
Yes, that's what the "chip in" option is for. Everyone sends their share, we add it up, and the card goes out in all your names.
Do the lessons have to be used all at once?
No. Most families do two lessons a week, but the sessions are theirs to use at whatever pace suits, any time inside the twelve months.
What does the child actually need?
A laptop or tablet with a camera, decent internet, and Zoom. No board, no software, no prior chess at all.
Can I put it toward lessons the family is already paying for?
Absolutely. If they're already a PawnPilots family, the voucher comes straight off their next invoice.
Which ages is this right for?
Five to fifteen. Lessons are built around the child's level, so a curious five-year-old and a club player both get their own plan.
